SuperSharp – technology kit for the production of industrial knives<\/span><\/span> <\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>

The research project is funded by the State of North Rhine-Westphalia using funds from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2014-2020 “Investments in growth and jobs”.<\/span><\/h2>\n

The project aims to research a technology kit and an associated manufacturing process for the economical manufacture of industrial knives with a focus on the food industry.<\/span><\/h2>\n

Technologically, the innovation relies on the resource-efficient incremental pressure rolling process in combination with a new material technology for martensitic stainless steels. Technology modules with a characteristic value system for the product properties should above all show cost-efficient production methods.<\/span><\/h2>\n

DynaWeld processes the simulative mapping of the manufacturing process consisting of:<\/span><\/h2>\n

Press rolling the knives<\/span>
\nInduction heating for hot press rolling<\/span>
\nInduction hardening<\/span><\/h2>\n

DynaWeld is developing a method for predictive material data determination based on material simulation with JMatPro.<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>

Industrial research as in-house research<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/div>

Simulation-based methodology for increasing quality assurance during joining in automotive series production
\n– Extension\/expansion of existing solutions to the entire production process in analogy to the real factory process –<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>

The aim is to research and develop simplified physical model abstractions that can be used to simulate the entire welding series production process of, for example, vehicle bodies or battery carrier systems in a cycle-time-accurate manner while maintaining maximum result accuracy. The results of these simulations are intended to reliably predict problems that repeatedly occur in real series production, such as distortions, visible dents and gap inaccuracies, during the planning phase before production begins, and to show possible solutions.<\/span><\/h2>\n

With this newly developed method, it was possible for the first time to calculate the entire welding joining process of large component groups up to entire car bodies with sufficient accuracy and thus to predict the resulting distortions.<\/span><\/h2>\n
